Crane, Walter

Crane, Walter (1845-1915) – This versatile English artist was a prolific book illustrator but also designed ceramics and other decorative art. Member of the ‘Arts & Crafts movement’. This “Danseuse aux cymbals” was published in 1895 in “L’Estampe originale” (Album IX). It depicts a female dancer in a background of vines where she dances with her cymbals. This lithograph measures: Height: 69 cms. Width: 49 cms. Condition: some slight foxing but overall in a very good condition.
