Hildo Krop

Hildo Krop (1884-1970) – This glazed head of a woman with raised hand is part of the pre design of the executed statue (tableau) on the by Berlage executed bridge in Amsterdam, for which Hildo Krop obtained the assignment. It features the patron saint of Amsterdam, called “Genius van Amstel”. She stands upright above the weapon of Amsterdam surrounded by three green rings, symbol for the canal belt of Amsterdam. Above her head a golden sun appears and above that the imperial crown. Height: 44 cms. W.: 35 cms., D.: 25 cms. Execution: ‘Porceleyne Fles, Delft’ .
