Bigot, Alexandre (1862-1927) Attr.

This large grès building element was probably designed by Alexandre Bigot. He was a well known Art Nouveau ceramist who worked together with architects for whom he made architectural façades and decorations for their buildings. Amongst others, Jules Lavirotte flats (Avenue Rapp, Paris), Henri Sauvage (Villa Majorelle Nancy). At the exposition 1900 he won a ‘grand prix’ for his designs. Height: ± 50 cms. Width: ± 120 cms.
