Muller Frères
Muller Frères Croismare/Lunéville (1897-1936) – This large family, consisting of 9 brothers and one sister, earned their reputation in the glassmaking industry in Elzas Lotharingen. Some of them worked as early employees in the glass factory of Emile Gallé. Desiré and Eugène Muller designed for a period of time (2 years – 1907/1909) for Val Saint Lambert (Belgium), where they designed some extraordinary beautiful vases. The vase illustrated here is from the later art deco period, with an abstract and deeply sandblasted and etched decoration enclosed with silver foil. Height: 23 cms.
