Proszynski, Henri Louis Bolestas (Pau 1887-1968) – A ‘cire perdue’ bronze, cast at Susse Frères, of a cat stretching out. On a regular basis Proszynski exhibited at de “Salon des Artistes Francais” as from 1911. In 1921 he won a silver and in 1925, at the “Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industrielles modernes” a gold medal for his sculptwork. He also exhibited at the ‘salon des artistes animaliers’ in 1936.He aquired de “légion d’honneur” in 1934. The cat has a beautiful deep dark brown patina. Period: 1930-1940. Length: 48 cms.; width: 33 cms.; Height: 10 cms.
